ABOUT LITTER OUTRAGE

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to make littering socially unacceptable by changing the culture around litter, encouraging community involvement, and creating visible action that leaves our environment cleaner and better cared for.

Every cleanup, every volunteer, every reported location, and every supporter helps move that mission forward.

Why it Matters

Litter is more than an inconvenience. It impacts wildlife, pollutes our waterways, diminishes public spaces, and sends the message that no one is paying attention.

Cleaner communities don’t happen by accident—they happen because people choose to care.

When individuals, businesses, and local organizations work together, small actions can create meaningful, lasting change.

How We Make a Difference

Litter Outrage focuses on creating lasting community impact by:

  • Organizing community cleanup projects.

  • Identifying litter hotspots through public reporting.

  • Encouraging volunteer participation.

  • Raising awareness through education and outreach.

  • Building partnerships with residents, businesses, and municipalities.

  • Celebrating the people who are helping raise the standard in their communities.

Every Person Can Make an Impact

You don’t have to organize a cleanup or donate thousands of dollars to make a difference. Reporting a littered location, volunteering for an event, supporting a cleanup project, or simply sharing our mission with others all help create cleaner communities.

Real change happens when enough people decide that litter is unacceptable—and choose to do something about it.

More Than Picking Up Trash

Litter Outrage was founded on a simple belief: litter should never be accepted as a normal part of our communities.

Too often, we walk past trash on our roadsides, in our parks, along our waterways, and throughout our neighborhoods because we’ve grown used to seeing it. Over time, that acceptance lowers our expectations and changes how we care for the places we share.

We believe it’s time to change that.

Litter Outrage exists to inspire people to take pride in their communities by raising the standard for how we treat our shared spaces. Through volunteer cleanup efforts, community engagement, education, and public awareness, we’re building a movement that encourages people to stop accepting litter as “someone else’s problem.”
